Miss Bangkok - Memoirs of a Thai Prostitute

We went to the book store at Phuket airport on 11st Oct'2015 while waiting for the flight to Singapore since we still had Thai Baht left. I couldn't take my eyes off this book after I saw a lot of women who are working at bars by flirting with Farang ( Thai called European or other foreigner ) to buy them drinks where they can get commission per drinks in Bangla walking street last night. Who on earth wanna work as a prostitute to please someone by leaving their dignity on the floor of make-up room before going to the bar counter. I feel so sad for them, I know they can choose other jobs for living but you were left with no choice when it comes to your precious child, their one day salary equals one month salary of factory staff if they are lucky. I find it encouraged by reading struggling stories which are based on true because I'm kinda easily depressed type.
This story is about Bua who was born from unfaithful dad and gambling mum which lead to broken family, met two guys who bit the shit out of her life, have children who cried themselves to sleep at night from hunger which turned her to prostitute from bartender to feed her children. Most of the time Money is as important as water. I really respect her decision that 'As reckless as I have been about my own life, I have never been reckless with my children's lives'. It hurt her to see her children running to her husband when they hurt but she feels relieve that they are not hungry anymore since she cannot spend a lot of time with them because she is the only one working for her family. Leaving school is the biggest regret in her life. You may not know now how Education is very important in our life but you will realize once you get older or you see how your friends are working in higher position with easy life.
Please read it if you are interested in my above review about this book. I guarantee you that it's worth of your time. PS: You have to buy from online though because I found no link to download. When the book can give me something special, I always save it in my iPad even I own hard copy.
